Studying alone can be tough. Some math topics just don’t click on the first try, and it’s easy to feel stuck or unmotivated. That’s why we created Tupai & Friends, a peer learning community where students can study together, help each other, and get AI guidance whenever they need it.
Unlike traditional study methods, the focus here is on learning together. Students ask questions, explain concepts, and support each other, while AI provides real-time guidance whenever someone gets stuck.
Learning with peers isn’t just social, it’s effective.
Students who explain concepts to others reinforce their own understanding, while seeing different approaches helps them gain new perspectives on problems. Peer support also builds confidence, as students realise they’re not alone in struggling with challenging topics. Together, this combination encourages deeper reasoning, curiosity, and motivation to keep learning.
How Tupai & Friends Supports Learning
In 2025, Tupai & Friends was implemented in seven schools across the Klang Valley, with each programme running for an average of 13 weeks. This allowed enough time for students to settle in, build trust with their peers, and develop consistent learning habits. By combining peer interaction with personalised guidance, the community encourages understanding over memorisation and helps students practise smarter, stay engaged, and improve outcomes.

The academic impact was both widespread and measurable, with nearly all participating schools recording tangible growth in student performance. By fostering an environment where students collaborated to solve problems with real-time AI guidance, the programme successfully shifted median group scores upward by as much as 6 to 8 points in several locations.
More importantly, the initiative proved highly effective at closing the equity gap. In multiple instances, students successfully transitioned from failing midterm grades to passing final exams. In one standout example, every student who was failing at the start of the programme achieved a passing grade by the end of the term.
These changes didn’t happen overnight, and they didn’t come from pressure or extra drilling. They came from students learning together, asking questions without fear, and getting the support they needed at the right time.
Peer learning isn’t just fun, it improves understanding, confidence, and results. Tupai & Friends combines collaboration and AI support to help students stay motivated, practise effectively, and achieve better outcomes. Because sometimes, the biggest difference isn’t a new syllabus or more tuition, it’s knowing you’re not struggling alone.
